Favorite nutrients for young eyes are omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc, and vitamins C and E. These nutrients kill age-related vision problems such as macular degeneration and cataract. To get these nutrients use:
• Green, leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, and collards
• Citrus fruits and juices such as oranges
• Oily fish such as Salmon, tuna etc
• Non-meat protein such as Eggs, nuts, beans etc
SUN Protection
Protect your eyes from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. UV exposure makes you more likely to get cataracts and macular degeneration. You should choose sunglasses that block almost 100% of both UV-A and UV-B rays.
“BIG NO” to smoking
Smoking makes you more likely to get cataracts, optic nerve damage, and macular degeneration.
Safety Eyewear
Whenever there is risk of eye injury (like some sports or occupation related) wear safety eye wear such as helmets with protective face masks, sports goggles with polycarbonate lenses etc.
“Off Screen”
